Following the rules is important in life. But, it's just as important to give yourself a break sometimes. I think I'm due for one of those!
I have been too caught up lately in being more strict on my diet, worrying about finding a full-time teaching job, bringing Heidi Diaz to justice and trying to discover what's really going on with the Magic Chicken Diet and Bonnie Luper. All of these are worthwhile - just like following the rules - but for today I'm not going to worry about any of these things.
Just for today, I'm going to:
- Have all the peanut butter I want (serious craving going on!)
- Enjoy a nice sunny, springtime day
- Eat pineapple and strawberries
- Not freak out if my protein intake is "low" for the day
- Not freak out if my fat or carb intake is too "high" for the day
- No worrying - seriously. None.
- No internet investigating against fraud or suspected fraud
I often encourage my fellow dieters over at Low Carb Friends to give themselves a break and not be SO strict or get too upset with themselves for going off-plan. Then, I realized how seldom I take my own advice.
Hmmm? Why is that?
